Mackenzie O’Brien began her performing career on the stage of the Coffee House in June of 2016. In the 18 months that have followed her career has taken off. She has performed over 150 paid performances in venues between Chicago and Madison and has performed in the downtown areas of Austin Texas, Los Angeles, and Nashville Tennessee. Mackenzie did a Nashville tour this last summer with Woodstock (1969) founder and former VP at Capitol Records Artie Kornfeld. She now appears in Nashville monthly and is working with acclaimed producer Bill McDermott.
Mackenzie’s original “Just a Line” has been featured on independent radio stations and commercial stations and was recently placed into the regular play rotation on Ireland Country Radio and on Nashville’s Top New Artist Radio Network. Mackenzie performs a balance of Country and Indie covers and originals. She additionally sings opera with her voice coach and former opera star, Bruce Hall.
Mackenzie’s voice is what sets her apart! John Oates (Hall n Oates) stated “I don’t know who she is but I love her voice” and the head talent producer at The Voice stated “Mackenzie is adorable and has a high high ceiling”.
