John Stano performs original Folk, Blues and Americana on acoustic, and National steel slide guitar with strong, expressive vocals and rack harmonica. John was nominated for a 2016 Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award (WAMI) for Folk and in 2015 for Singer Songwriter of the Year and won the ‘Wisconsin Singer Songwriter Series Songwriter of the Year’ award. He was also a ‘Big Top Chautauqua Songwriter of the Year’ national finalist and represented Wisconsin in the solo/duo category at The International Blues Challenge held on historic Beale Street in Memphis. His songs ‘From A Rusty Cadillac’ and ‘Pontiac’s No More’ were featured on NPR’s ‘Car Talk.’ He also wrote and performed the soundtrack for a documentary on Wisconsin’s role in the civil war that aired on Milwaukee Public Television. ‘Sing Out’ magazine compared John’s music to early Bob Dylan while ‘Dirty Linen’ was reminded of Country Joe McDonald.

Mark Dvorak has given concerts in almost all of the United States and has made visits to Finland, Canada and Ireland. To date he has released seventeen albums of traditional and original music, including Waterbug’s acclaimed Time Ain’t Got Nothin’ On Me, and 2015’s independent release, Back Home.
Dvorak has won awards for children’s music, journalism, and was honored in 2008 with the Woodstock Folk Festival Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2013 he received the FARM Lantern Bearer Award from Folk Alliance International.
In 2013 he published his second collection of essays and poetry, Bowling for Christmas & Other Tales from the Road.
