The Coffee House at Chestnut & Pine has become a hub for local and national musicians alike. Our unique performance venue is perfect for local bands and national acts looking for a more intimate experience and connection with their audience. The Coffee House also plays host to the annual Tall Tales Music Festival in Burlington, WI which has brought in a long list of artists including Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons, Andrew Combs, Los Colognes, Rayland Baxter, Tom Brosseau, Amanda Shires, Count This Penny, Erin Rae and many many more!

The Coffee House venue has a state of the art sound system, trained sound engineers, and an excellent reputation from touring artists. We do reserve the right to control sound at our venue. As a Coffee House we are not looking for all acoustic folk musicians, but we are mindful of our decibel levels.

How do I get booked?

We get tons of requests and we like to keep our lineup fresh, so we can't book everyone! If you are interested in playing at The Coffee House, fill out the form below and if we are interested, we will get back to you within 2 weeks. For any musicians who are new to The Coffee House, we recommend that you play a Thursday Open Mic as a sort of "audition." This is also a good way to introduce you to our musical community. Thursday Open Mic signup starts at 6 p.m. and music begins at 6:30 p.m.  Due to the large volume of inquiries we get, we do not respond to all requests! If you don't hear from us within 2 weeks, we are likely not able to book at this time and you are welcome to try again in 3 months.

How do we get paid?

We use a tip system for all musicians touring without management. We pay the first $50 to the tip jar for solo performers and the first $100 to the tip jar for bands of two or more members. We will put out a tip jar and you are able to sell your own merch with 100 percent going to the artist.

If you are a manager and looking to book a ticketed event, we do an 80/20 split of tickets. We provide our state of the art sound system and sound engineer available for your use. We will also provide each band member with a meal and one free drink ticket. Artists keep 100% of merch sales.

Do you take care of promotion?

We will post your band bio and performance date on our website, on our in-house calendar, and through social media. We ask that you as a performer are proactive in sending or bringing in posters and/or handbills which we will distribute through our cafe. The more people you are able to bring in, the more likely we are to invite you back!
